Panorama’s Schlutzkrapfen
This typical regional dish is produced by our chief cook by hand.
The name “Schlutzkrapfen” derives from the word “schluzen”, which means “to slide” or “to glide”. In former times the “Schlutzkrapfen” were really more slurped than eaten.

Southtyrolean “Scheiterhaufen” - Stake
Luckily nowadays the real stake doesn’t exist anymore. Here we’re talking about a dish which has been created when the nit-picking farmer’s wives cooked a meal with the remains.
The bread, stacked like this, looks like a stake and is improved with apples, eggs, nuts and raisins. All this together gives a tasty dessert, which unluckily isn’t served anymore in the restaurants.
The Schlern massive
The landmark of South Tirol, the Schlern, stings immediately in the eye by its weird form.
With his 2,563 metres the Schlern is not very high. Nevertheless, he is unmistakeable - his special form with offshore Santner-and Euringerspitze make him even the landmark of South Tirol.

Walter Griesser - Pioneer at Alpe di Siusi
There are a lot of black-and-white pictures of a young man hanging on the walls of the hotel. It’s Walter Griesser.
He was a unique person with great ideas, an enormous strength of mind and ambition. Thanks to him the Seiser Alm is used touristically nowadays, because he was the pioneer who built in 1938 the first ski lift in the shape of a giant sledge. Exactly this sledge is exposed in front of our hotel and, if you want to, there you can discover more about it.

Weißburgunder Riserva Passion
The grapes of this wine are growing at Eppan/Appiano at the height of about 600 m a.s.l. This is a wine with complexity and sophisticated aroma of peaches and apples, very textured on the palate with mineral tones. Recommendable with dishes with fish, but also as an aperitif.
St. Magdalener
The wine-growing estate Unterhofer from Kaltern/Caldaro is an inside tip and a young and dynamic family activity which produces excellent wines with a lot of passion.
The St.Magdalener has an intense ruby red color and is very fruity with an intensive bouquet, reminding on forest fruits and ripe cherries with a full body with subbed acidity and pleasant tannins, harmonious aftertaste.
Recommendable with “Panorama’s Schlutzkrapfen”.
